Nutcracker Photo Day

Rochester City Ballet invites Nutcracker families to have professional photos taken of their children at the Rochester City Ballet studios in their Nutcracker costumes. Your child’s photo will also appear in the 2025 Nutcracker Memory Book. Nutcracker Photo Day is a wonderful opportunity to create a keepsake of the beautiful memories made during the Nutcracker season.
The Nutcracker Photo Days in Rochester are Sunday, November 2nd AND Sunday, November 9th at RCB.
Please be on the lookout for a SignUpGenius that will be sent out to sign-up for a time slot for your dancer(s).
Nutcracker In-Studio

Join us in the Rochester City Ballet studios for an exclusive open rehearsal of The Nutcracker. Watch our professional dancers and community performers prepare up close, and see how this holiday classic comes to life.
🎟️ $15 donation includes admission to the rehearsal and a complimentary beverage.

Nutcracker Preview at The Strong Museum
Join the dancers of the Rochester City Ballet at The Strong Museum of Play for a magical day filled with storytelling and a performance from “The Nutcracker”, Tchaikovsky’s beloved ballet. The mini-performances are from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM & 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.
Sugarplum Tea Party
Rochester City Ballet invites families with children of all ages to have tea with The Sugar Plum Fairy and her friends on November 16th from 10:00am-11:30am or 12:30pm-2:00pm at the beautiful Partners + Napier offices in Rochester.
Enjoy special performances by dancers of Rochester City Ballet, character meet & greets, fun crafts, hot cocoa, tea, treats from the “Land of the Sweets” & more! Hear the story of the Nutcracker, told by these special characters, and get autographs and photographs with your favorite ballerinas. Space is limited, so get your tickets soon!
🎀Children welcome to come dressed up in your favorite party outfit or princess costume!
🎀Parents can enjoy a complimentary beverage from our mimosa bar
🎀All children must be accompanied by an adult.
All proceeds go to support our annual Sensory-Friendly production of The Nutcracker.
